Lake Zoar was created by CL&P in the 1920s and currently lies between the Shapaug Dam and the Stevenson Dam along the Housatonic River.  Lake Zoar is known for fishing and recreation.  There are two state parks along its shores and four boat launches.  Similar to Lake Lillinonah, the wild life is preserved and you will find many canoes and kayaks making use of this lake.  There are many opportunities to own lakefront properties on Lake Zoar!
